Just joined the forum and I'm looking forward to sharing lessons learned and increasing my knowledge of hunting in general.

I've been an avid collector of firearms for over 40 years and enjoy both single and double action pistols and revolvers, semi-auto, lever, and bolt action rifles, semi-auto, pump, over/under, and side x side shotguns, and military weapons from pre-WWII to the present...

I also hunt whitetail deer, black bear, hog, coyote, red fox, turkey, pheasant, geese, duck, quail, grouse, chukar, dove, crow, rabbit, opossum, groundhog and grey squirrel.

    My hunting rifles include:

Remington Model 700BDL chambered in 7mm Rem Mag

Remington Model 7600 chambered in 30-06 Springfield

Winchester Model 1894 chambered in .30WCF

Olympic Arms AR15 chambered in 5.56x45mm

Stoeger Uplander double chambered in 12 gauge.

    welcome

    Welcome, shooter 13!
I hope to learn from you, and watching your posts.
I'm a shooter, but not much of a hunter.
It's interesting that you have a Rem. 7600 in .30-06. I've wanted one of those in .308 or .30-06 or even .35 Rem for years. They seem to me like an ideal practical and not-too-expensive hunting rifle for any reasonable hunting distance, maybe 300 yards. I like pump action guns period-- shotguns, .22s, and I think centerfire rifles (though I've never actually shot a 7600 or 760).

    Anyhow, TTYL.

    Thanks for joining.
